If it’s not a wedding and it’s not a funeral, then what is it? And should we even celebrate it?

I believe the answer is yes.

Our lives should be filled with markers.  Moments in time that are marked for specific reasons and give us many wonderful memories to look back on.  To purposely step out of everyday life and into extraordinary time makes something ordinary extra special, doesn’t it?  And there are benefits for our wellbeing and resilience in honouring transitions.
Wondering what you can do?  A naming day, vow renewal, commitment ceremony, a pet burial, miscarriage ceremony, hair cutting ceremony, placenta planting, and a house blessing are just some ideas to celebrate, cherish, acknowledge, embrace, heal, and or move through a transition.  You are only limited by your imagination.
